Director Standards and Practices
Job Description This position is responsible for supervising kids’ series, movies, and online content for Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and Disney XD Standards and Practices. This includes direct supervision of kids’ S&P team as well as review of original and acquired programs and movies to be assigned by the VP.
Responsibilities • Supervise kids’ long-form series S&P including day-to-day management two or three direct reports
• Read original scripts and communicate S&P notes to creative executives
• Review acquired series and movies and oversee editing process
• Negotiate to ensure compliance with S&P guidelines
• Screen rough and final cuts for original and acquired programs and movies
• Review online content and games for kids’ web sites
• Assign parental guidelines / TV ratings
• Other projects as assigned by the VP
• Must have extensive knowledge of children’s television and FCC regulations
Basic Qualifications • Minimum five years in television standards and practices, programming, or research
• Minimum two years experience managing multiple direct reports
• Background must include exposure to network standards and practices
Preferred Qualifications • Experience with digital media projects
