DMC Manager
Job Description The DMC Manager (Digital Media Center Manager) leads overnight video editing staff(AVID) while overseeing the acquisition and production of all video elements for early morning news. This position requires a strong understanding of digital media, solid editorial judgment and effective leadership skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Leads digital producers and editors in DMC and in our bureaus to inspire quality work.
•Communicates with control room staff and editors to alert them of potential problems.
•Edit and create original pieces and/or edit and repurpose existing material
•Work with producers and anchors to create original content
•Offers creative and innovative ideas for better story-telling.
•Handles breaking news and special events with limited time

Basic Qualifications Minimum 5 years experience working in television
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, consistently on the overnight shift
Professional experience working with AVID
Non-Technical Skills: Ability to work in fast paced, deadline oriented news environment; strong editorial and writing background; strong leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications 7 plus years experience working in television
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
Professional experience working with Final Cut Pro
