Human Resources Representative
Job Description Disney ABC Television Group has an exciting opportunity for an HR Business Partner Representative.
The Human Resource Business Partner contributes to defining and implementing a Human Resource strategy which aligns and integrates with the Clients business strategy. This position based in the New York office will be involved with Clients within Disney ABC Networks Group and Disney ABC Television Group Partner group.
Responsibilities The HR Representative will provide expert HR counseling, coaching and training and development along with their appropriate HR partners. The HR Rep will initiate and drive the design and implementation of new or changed HR policies, processes, and programs in order to enhance the clients workforce performance along with the employees workplace experience. In this role you will leverage resources from HR specialty areas (e.g., Organization Development, Recruiting, Compensation, etc.) as well as the overall Business Partner team
Facilitate the alignment and improvement of HR policies, processes, and programs across business units (e.g., merit and promotion, planning, performance management, career development, headcount planning, leave of absence, etc.)
Build and maintain long-term trusted client relationships with Business Units executives and their teams
Ensure managers and staff appropriately leverage selected HR technologies (e.g., SAP) to drive fact based decision making for their perspective client groups
Basic Qualifications At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience as a professional HR generalist or related position
Must have knowledge of HR, ability to analyze data, design and present to clients (sr. level preferred). Able to work independently. Strong communication skills.
Experience and exposure to a variety of HR facets including employee relations, training, staffing, and compensation
Ability to manage priorities, projects and conflicting demands and to deal flexibly with ambiguity and change.
Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in Entertainment.
Skills required:
Excellent computer skills Highly proficient with MS Powerpoint, Word, and Excel
SAP experience and knowledge a plus
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with entry level through executive level individuals successfully
Strong organizational, motivational, communication and problem solving skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment, meet deadlines and goals
Strong attention to detail
Strong team player
Excellent analytical skills & ability to interpret data and recommend multiple solutions
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to function independently
Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in Entertainment.
SAP experience and knowledge a plus
Preferred Education Bachelors degree or equivalent preferred Masters degree a plus
